Your First Visit - Tiny Teeth of Dublin

One day, I was playing outside and my smallest baby tooth began to wiggle and jiggle

I tried to hide my wiggly tooth from my mom, but she noticed right away. I couldn’t stop playing with it! It’s just so fun to wiggle my tooth around in there! When my mom saw my wiggly tooth, she said the scariest sentence ever: “Let’s go to the dentist!”

I know all about the dentist.

My friends at school who already lost teeth told me! They said the dentist is a scary monster with a blue mask and lots of tools! I can’t go there! Hmmm...maybe I can escape.

The day of the dentist came, and my mom made sure my seatbelt was secure in the car, so my master escape plan wouldn’t work.

We drove and drove until we got to this unfamiliar building. My mom wanted to go inside, but I was too scared! She said that it would be okay and that it won’t be very scary at all. “Okay,” I sighed, “let’s go inside.”

We got inside and I had to sit in a room with a lot of comfy chairs.

“Okay,” I thought, “this isn’t so bad.” There were even toys to play with while I was there! Before I knew it, a nice lady opened the door and called my name. My tummy did a flip flop right then and there! I was nervous, but this lady was so friendly. I wasn’t really scared of her at all.

She walked me to a room with a lot of funny-looking lights, trays, and tools.

I got to sit in the biggest chair ever, and laid all the way down. Once I was comfy in my chair, the nice lady told me that the dentist would be in any minute. “Oh no,” I thought, “here comes the scary dentist.”

Soon, I heard the door behind me open and close, and boy, was I scared.

I saw a big shadow approaching, then... Wait a second! It was just another nice lady! Not a scary monster! Hmm, maybe this isn’t the dentist after all. The lady sat down next to me and said, “Hi, I’m Dr. Pagé, your dentist! How are you today?” So, this IS the dentist. Well, she’s not so scary. In fact, she's really nice.

Dr. Pagé told me all sorts of cool stuff about my teeth and how she was going to clean them so they’re super shiny!

I opened my mouth really wide for her, and she poked around in there. “Wow,” Dr. Pagé said, “these are really some chompers!” That made me giggle, but it sounded so funny because my mouth was open so wide! Before I knew it, Dr. Pagé said, “All done!” All done? That wasn’t scary at all! When I was leaving, I got a cool new toothbrush to take home! Dr. Pagé high fived me and said that I’m a dental superhero! Wow! Turns out the dentist is super cool!
